Hi boys and girls. Welcome to another new week! I hope you all received my email about our graduation ceremony which is taking place via Zoom on Thursday 18th June at 12.50 p.m. I'd appreciate if you could let me know if you will be attending by Thursday 11th and also send me your photo as a jpg attachment. Let me know if you need any extra information or have any questions. XX Ms Byrne
Hi Everyone. Happy Friday! Well that was a quick week! As we near the end of the school year we will be organising the First Class graduation. Of course this year we can't do the usual mass but I'll be sending you all an email shortly with the invitation to our Zoom graduation and the details of what we need to prepare. Hopefully you can all attend. WOW WORK Another great week of work, it's so lovely to see our books getting used now. Here is a sample of the fantastic work I received by email. Such a broad range from Maths to Gaeilge, to dictation to cursive and independent writing. Well done everyone! As we know there are lots of animals and birds having their babies at this time. Here is a lovely photo Annmarie's son took of a swan's nest with the babies which are called cygnets. The female is called a pen and the male is called a cob. As you can see, unlike the bluetits, the swans make their nest on the ground at the edge of rivers or canals. Keep a look out for any animals or birds you see with their young when you are out and about this week. I do actually have one piece of homework for you. I want you all to play this song a lot and learn the words if you can over the next two weeks as we'll be singing it at our graduation ceremony. Have a lovely weekend! Take care.
XX Ms Byrne Hi everyone. Firstly a huge congratulations to Ionela for winning a prize in Ms Fallon's Judith Kerr Quiz. Well done Ionela! You must know lots about Mog the Cat! I hope you are enjoying this week's timetable and/or your books, whichever you choose to use for keeping busy. Ms Thomas asked me to tell you about a great competition she is running called the "Summer Maths Challenge" it's about learning about 2D shapes and symmetry drawing a shape picture. Here is the link to find out all about it. The closing date is next Friday 12th June. And here a very summery song for you to enjoy! Lastly Joke of the Day Question What do you call an elephant that never washes? Answer A smellyphant. Chat soon. XX Ms Byrne
