We had a lovely autumn stroll through the Botanic Gardens today. We looked at lots of sculptures...
We talked about our 5 senses and listed what we could hear, feel, see and smell. (We didn't taste anything!) 
We really liked the dinosaurs!

Shadow trees in Autumn

First we painted our background using autumn colours. Then we drew the shadow tree onto black paper and cut it out.

Golden Time

 Every week we all start off with 10 points on our 'Class Dojo'.
​Throughout the week we can earn more points.
 Points are awarded for showing kindness to others, taking part in lessons and completing work neatly, among other things.
On Friday the children exchange their points for minutes in Golden Time.


This week we had three areas...

1. Magnets

Autumn leaves

 We talked about the leaves changing colours in Autumn.
 We chose colours we would need to create Autumn leaves.
​  We ripped up the paper and made a collage on our laminating sheet.
This is what they looked like after we laminated them...
Then we drew our leaf shape with a whiteboard marker and cut it out.

We are all very excited to watch Dublin in the All-Ireland final this weekend. We drew our self-portraits and dressed them in a Dublin jersey to show our support.

We looked at the beautiful art that Wassily Kandinsky created. He painted abstract pictures by using colours and shapes. We created our own pictures using oil pastels on black paper.
