Gaeilge: Sicín Beag Buí

We love the story of the little yellow chicken (sicín beag buí).

​The children acted out the story using some of our classroom animals.

The story is about a little yellow chicken looking for her Mammy on the farm.

​She asks each of the farm animals if they are her Mammy;                              "An tusa mo Mhamaí?"

They reply that they are not her Mammy;
                          "Ní mise do Mhamaí"

The little yellow chicken wonders where her Mammy is;
                         "Cá bhfuil mo Mhamaí"

Finally she finds her Mammy and she is very happy.
