English

  • Tricky words - we, are
  • Dictation - 'ag' words
Adjectives are describing words. They describe the animal e.g.
  • short/ tall
  • big/ small
  • spotty
  • stripey
  • funny
  • brown (any colour)
  • smelly
  • ugly/ pretty
  • fast/ slow
Have a look below. Can you think of an adjective that would describe each of these animals. Try and think of a different adjective to describe each one.
  • You can download the worksheet below and write an adjective under each one (I know there is not a lot of space apologies)
  • You could write out the numbers 1-8 and write down the adjective for that animal on your whiteboard. As something extra you could try and draw some of the animals.
  • If you are finding this too easy or you are just looking for a challenge today try and use the new adjective in a sentence for 1 or all the animals e.g.
    • The giraffe is tall.
    • The elephant is heavy.
    • The lion is scary.
  • You can practice saying these out loud or write them out.

Gameboard

If you like...
- You could make the game more difficult by adding in a few bigger numbers. (Don't forget to add in extra number sentences too)
- You could add one extra number on the game board (so it can't be a draw)
- You could use dice dots instead of numbers.

Adding Game (1-5)

Gaeilge - Sa Bhaile

Dul siar:
  • Practice all the new vocabulary we have been learning this week. We have done a lot. Have a go at drawing the pictures and play: Taispeáin dom _____.
