Story Time

Watch the animation of the book Giraffe's Can't Dance!

Let's Learn About: Giraffes

Picture
Where do giraffes live?
  • Giraffes live in Africa
What do giraffes eat?
  • Giraffes mostly eat fresh leaves and twigs from the tops of trees
What do giraffes look like?
  • They have 4 long thin legs, a very long neck, 2 horns on the top of their head and a spotted coat.

5 Cool Facts

1. The giraffe is the tallest animal in the world!
2. Giraffes eat bones from other animals to keep their bones strong and healthy!
3. Each giraffe has a unique pattern on it's skin. No two look the same.
4. Giraffes have black tongues! Their tongues are sticky!
5. Giraffes necks aren't long enough to reach the ground so they have to spread their front legs wide to get a drink of water. Have a look at the picture below!

Maths

Hi boys and girls,
It's Ms. Brooks here. I miss seeing you all so much. I miss playing the games and doing activities with you. I will be posting up some videos of games that you can play at home. This game is called "Make 5". Hopefully we will be back at school soon playing our games again! :)
