Everyone has been so good at arriving to class on time in the mornings. I was thrilled that by 9.05 on Tuesday morning everyone was seated and we were ready to revise our days of the week. Each morning we will do a quick 10 minute revision session before the children head off to find out what work station they are on. This is working really well. Don't forget to encourage your child to hang their coats up on the hangers provided outside the classroom before they come into class.

We were acting out some scenes from Little Red Riding Hood as it is our focus Fiary Tale. The children were such sports and really got into their roles. We practiced lots of expression and tone when we were reading the story together and they really carried this through to their acting. It was so funny! I think you'll enjoy the videos below.

Later that day it was so nice to see the children incorporate what they had learnt into their Aistear play.

Lunch times are great fun in the yard! We get to play with our new friends.

Language Towards Literacy started today. We will be focusing on Body parts and senses over the next few weeks. Ms Brookes and Ms Stanley come into our room once a week with their wonderful games. I sent home a sheet with the vocabulary that we would be grateful if you could reinforce at home.

Thank you to everyone who manage to bring in a family photo this week. The children really enjoyed sharing their photo with their friends and talking about their family members. It was a lovely way to finish off this months topic of Home and Family.

Finally... Anyone who missed the parent meeting this week if you click here, you can view a copy of the power point with all the points raised. Have a great weekend! P.s don't forget to leave a comment if you can, we will enjoy reading them in class :)
