Hello boys and girls and happy Friday! Can you believe we are in a new month again? It's crazy! Time is flying and I think of it as everyday being at home, is a day closer to getting back to school to our friends and teachers.
Maths:
  1. Give me 5 (youtube below). A fun video that shows ways of making 5
  2. Written work: I've shown you a worksheet below that you might be able to complete at home boys and girls! Can you continue and find all the ways to make 5?

Gaeilge:

Tá mo ______ salach. (My ______ is dirty).
Nigh do ________. (Wash your _______).
Tá mo _______ glan. (My _______ is clean).
Croc amach do ______. (Hang out your ______).
  1. Cómhrá
  2. Tasc Éisteachta 8.1 agus 8.2
  3. Amhráin (Song).
English/SESE:
  1. Practice sounds, word lists, tricky words etc.
  2. See video below on sounds practice and blending.
  3. Writing Workshop
  • Mini Lesson - I have spoken in the video a little about the purpose of Writing Workshop. Please don't wear your child down by focusing too much about what they're writing, fixing letters/words etc. You don't need to do this, it is meant to be about encouraging them to write (even if they are only for example writing an R beside their picture of a rabbit) and also to help them enjoy writing. We have other specific lessons that teach word and letter formation, so this is really about the enjoyment!
  • Independent Writing - your turn.
  • Shared Session - maybe you could designate a 'share chair' like we have in room 2!
   4.  Story - Grandad's Farm. I will leave  a link to download this under the video, just in case you would rather read it yourself or at another time.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend everybody. Stay safe at home, play with your siblings, enjoy a meal together, make up a new game, bake something, learn a new dance/song or do whatever helps you to have fun while we have to stay at home. I am hoping to learn how to bake something new, which i have been trying a lot during my free time at home. My family are telling me they soon won't be able to fit inside our house to stay safe :) See you back here Tuesday!

Hello, Ms O'Shea
Ellie is sending you 'Hello' and she says she miss you so much! 🧡🤎💝
We are working hard with the letters, numbers.. practising reading and lots of drawing and cutting. At the moment Ellie likes to make paper dolls and design dresses for them. We are not forgetting to be fit and do exercises as well.
HAPPY FRIDAY AND ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!
🤩😁🙂😊😃💗💕💚💜
