Friday 5th June

Hi everyone, and a very happy Friday to you all. I hope you had a great week. Here are some fabulous pictures of work that went on this week. Well done to all!
Maths:
Revision - Money
As said before, money is a bit of an abstract concept so there is no harm in spending another day or two at this.
  1. Revision video - making an amount using the least about of coins ie. making 3c with a 2c and 1c rather than using all 1c coins.
  2. Busy work - Busy at Maths pages 37 & 38. You could treat these as assessment pages if you'd like to see your child's understanding. **Click into images to see in full. **
English:
  1. Practice your reader online, sounds, tricky words, word lists etc.
  2. Dictation 1-8
  3. Handwriting - pages 58 & 59, the letter s.
On a normal school day we would generally just do one page, so don't be worried if your child is finding this tiring, just let them do the second one. I would generally also ask the children to do ONE line, then we wait until everyone is finished, and move on to the next line and stop again. Try this if you are finding it difficult to keep them focused. A quick counting/jumping exercise could be a good break in between each line. Also, block the second page if you intend on doing both pages. There is nothing worse than a constant reminder of how far you have to go!
   4. Blending - a continuation from the words from last week. Read the sentence and find the matching picture. Don't forget to point to the words.

Suggested busy pages - lch 39 agus 40.
