Happy Tuesday everyone!
Here's a great song from the movie Shrek! Enjoy :) Ms. Hiney https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed3PLhk_LP4 Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a super duper weekend! I'd love to hear if you got up to anything exciting this weekend! Read my news from the weekend and look at my photos: Now it's your turn!
Draw a picture of your news and write about what you got up to during the weekend! Remember: 1. Capital letters at the start of every sentence. 2. Full stop at the end of every sentence. 3. Beautiful neat hand-writing. Go Raibh Míle, Ms. Hiney On Friday, we learnt a little bit about Roald Dahl's book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and you designed your very own chocolate factory!
Today I want you to become a chocolatier! What do you think a chocolatier does? Exactly! They make chocolate! Create your very own chocolate bar: 1. Draw your chocolate bar 2. Name your chocolate bar. 3. Describe it's flavour. You can have as many fillings as you like! Here are some flavours you might like to include: Happy Monday :)
Keeping with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today, here's a medley that the cast of the musical performed for the Children in Need charity concert in 2014. Check out my previous post on this book from Friday if you haven't already to learn some interesting things about the author of the book Roald Dahl. Enjoy :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4X53K1vJ7A Watch the following video to learn a little bit more about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Also, please check out our song of the day Pure Imagination from the musical version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Design your own very own chocolate factory! Please include the following:
1. Draw a picture of your chocolate factory. 2. Name your chocolate factory. 3. Write 1-3 sentences to describe your factory. (What can you find there? Is there a chocolate fountain? Does it rain sweets? etc. Is it colourful? ) Here are some words/phrases to help you to describe your chocolate factory: It's dictation time! The words and phrases today are all based on our ai words from earlier on this week! Number your page 1-7 please and listen to the following audio. Go Raibh Míle, Ms. Hiney Look at the picture above and complete the following:
1. How many animals can you find? 2. Count all the food you can see. 3. How many things can you find that you would find around your house? 4. How many pictures can you see that begin with "s"? 5. How many pictures can you find beginning with "c"? 6. I spy with my little eye, something beginning with "s"? (Hint: It's really small and lives in the sea). Happy Friday everyone!
