We mixed yellow and red to make orange during painting time this week. We then cut out faces and stuck them on to make spooky pumpkins- well done room 4!
We have been learning about signs of autumn and have been practicing our scissor skills. Motor activities like this help get our hand muscles ready for handwriting next term. The hedgehogs look great!
Our focus book this week was Owl Babies. We read the book along together and talked about the front/back cover, the illustrations and showed our friends at our table our favourite part of the story. We drew pictures in our literacy copies of the characters in the story and printed them using sponges during Aistear time. They look fantastic!
On Friday we began painting self-portraits. Next week we will paint our face features. Here are our artists ready to paint!
The girls and boys have been practicing their cutting and sticking skills and have made beautiful snails. Here are some pictures of the children hard at work. Now that we are in school longer each day, the children have begun Aistear. They are learning through play and using vocabulary we have learned to describe our families and different types of homes. They have also been practicing their sharing skills with their new friends. Good work room 4! |
