Hi everyone, and welcome back to the blog for a brand new week. I have my fingers crossed for some nice weather down here in Cork this week because it seems that you, my little friends in Dublin have been stealing all the sunshine!
This week we will move on to domestic animals - these are mostly animals that we can have as pets.

English/SESE:
  1. Pick a new Big Cat reader on www.connect.collins.co.uk, practice word lists, tricky words etc.
  2. Sounds practice (see video)
  3. Dictation 1-8 (see same video)
  4. My News - draw a picture of something you did at the weekend or of some news you have. Give a go at labeling it!
  5. Domestic Animals/Pets - how many can you think of? Idea: Set a timer and make a list!
Maths:
  1. Stop and start eg, start at 4, stop at 9, and backwards eg. start and 8, stop and 2 etc.
  2. Data - look at the data below and answer the questions. You may answer orally of on a whiteboard/copy numbered 1 -6.

Blue questions are optional:
  1. How many animals have 2 legs?
  2. How many animals have no legs?
  3. How many animals have 4 legs?
  4. Which category would you put yourself in?
  5. What is the biggest/smallest category?
  6. How many animals are there altogether?
  7. Which category has more, 4 legs or 2 legs? How many more?
  8. Which category had more, 2 legs or no legs? How many more?

Gaeilge:

  1. Cómhrá 1.1
  2. Tasc Éisteachta 1.1
