Nouns and adjectives

Hi guys
Here is a nice activity for you to do. There are two steps involved. You already know that a noun is a person, a place or a thing. We made lots of lists of nouns and named heaps of them. So you firstly have to go around your house or garden and find all the nouns you can. You can print the noun hunt page that is attached here or draw your own with three categories one for person/people, one for place and one for things/objects. That's step 1.
Now what I want you to focus on are our adjectives. Can you remember what an adjective is? Yes that's right it is a describing word. It describes a noun. So the "fluffy dog" fluffy is an adjective because it describes the dog. Now for all the nouns that you have found try to think of two adjectives to describe them. Remember we did this when we played the Grannies Candies game and also when we described the snake in our phonics book.
