Active Schools

Follow our journey to an Active Schools Flag!
Picture
We are on a mission to earn an Active School flag in OLV Infant School! We have started working on this and we are having lots of fun along the way! The Active School Flag Initiative is a Department of Education and Skills Initiative (DES) supported by Healthy Ireland, it aims to get schools more active, more often. An Active School is a school where physical activity is valued, promoted, and enjoyed by everyone. Active schools promote inclusive physical activity throughout the school day. The Active School Flag is awarded to schools that work to achieve a physically active school community.
