Down By The Bay by Raffi (on Youtube)

Down by the bay, where the watermelons grow

Back to my home, I dare not go

For if I do, my mother would say-

Have you ever seen a bear, combing his hair

Down by the bay.....

Down by the bay, where the watermelons grow (and so on)

Have you ever seen a goose, kissing a moose ?

a whale with a polka dot tail ?

a fly wearing a tie ?

The following rhymes were made up by my Girls and Boys in Room 7:

Did you ever see-

1. a guitar eating a chocolate bar-Filip

2. some poop in a hoola-hoop !-Cayden-John

3. a hacker taking a macker-Ruby

4. a cat wearing a hat-Kate

5. a rocket in a pocket-Daniel

6. your eye sitting on some pie-Liam

Now see if you can make up some rhymes of your own Boys and Girls to go with the song, and don't forget to look it up on Youtube as well.

Hello Everyone from Room 7. I hope that you are all well and remembering that we all still have to keep doing everything the right way, like washing our hands, until everything is back to normal. Of course, we are all hoping that everything will be back to the way it was very soon, but in a way, it's a bit like waiting for something good to happen. You know the way we have to wait for our birthday, or for Santa to come because we've all been so good ? Well, maybe it's a bit like that, so all we can do is wait, be as good as we can for our Mammies and Daddies, and most importantly, keep our hands really clean.
Anyway, all the teachers are working as hard as they can to try and keep teaching everyone, even though we can't be in our rooms. Please have a look at this weeks work on the screen here, and do it as well as you can. Thank you all again Boys and Girls for being so good. Lots of love, from Mr. Mulcahy
