What a fantastic week it has been having Ms Costello in our class. It really feels like she's been with us for ever and the children absolutely adore her! So we have been up to loads this week...

Maths

We've been learning about circles and even got to make our own by measuring our wool to the correct length and sticking it to the circle on our page. One for the scrapbooks I think.

We have also been practising our sets and discussing why things belong together and how we have sorted them.

Goegraphy

Learning about map making has been great fun... we even got to map our school!

Irish

Ms Costello makes learning Irish so much fun! Our new topic is Bia (food) and we know lots of new words!

Homework

So many of the children spotted the hidden task on their homework sheet! The children were asked to draw their OWN flowers on the poem. Well done to everyone who did such lovely colouring in this week! PLEASE REMEMBER: Please keep the homework folder in your child's schoolbag. I did not get some of the new wordless readers back today, I cannot give out new ones until they are all returned. Please ensure they are keep in the folder to be collected on a Friday.

I hope that you will get a chance to make a Winter Hat over the weekend to wear on Monday For our sponsored Winter Walk. Look forward to seeing you on Monday if you can make it.

Kind Regards,

Ms Murray
