First we painted the blue background. We covered the page in salt while the paint was still wet and rubbed it off when it dried. This gave the background a nice grainy texture.
Then we cut up our crepe paper, stuck it onto our white card and cut out the leaf shape.

Next we stuck our leaf to the blue background and our petals to the leaf.
Finally we added some yellow felt for the centre.
