We have been learning all about the harvest season and how busy the farmers are gathering all the food that has been growing throughout the summer. I was given loads of apples by a friend from their farm so I decided to stew them outside and let the children taste! The boys and girls were busy writing and reading as I cooked and they enjoyed watching the apples turn to puree. The children were really good at being careful around the stove and came up to look and smell one at a time.It was so lovely to be able to use the garden where we planted the grass seed.
Most children gave a thumbs up to the flavour.
