Pond Dipping

Today we had a really nice day. We had a visitor who brought us some buckets of pond water. We spent the morning exploring what was inside. We found pond weed, snails, water boat bugs, tadpoles and lots of other little insects inside the water. It was such a great way to spend the morning.

Our School Trip!

This year we are off to Red Mountain Farm for our school trip. We are so excited to see lots of animals at the farm and have loads of fun.

There were lots of things to play with on the farm. We played with toy cars and tractors and had lots of fun in playgrounds inside and outside. We also had some fun in a really big sand pit.
We all got a go in the tractor. It was so much fun zooming around the farm.
And of course we saw some animals. We went for a walk around the farm and saw some animals in the fields. We saw goats, cows, horses, geese, donkeys and a pony. We were able to feed the animals grass but it tickled when they were eating it!
Inside one of the barns on the farm they had some baby animals. There were 2 little puppies that we got to hold and pet. They were so cute!

We're all set for our Christmas Play. We have been having so much fun learning our songs and trying on our costumes! Don't we look great!

We love stories in Room 1. We are looking at the book Owl Babies. Each person has their own book to follow along with the story.

Pumpkins

We are getting ready for Halloween. We are learning all about pumpkins and how they grow. We are going to paint and design our own pumpkins.
Have a look at the finished product!

Halloween

Who doesn't love Halloween. We are big fans here in Room 1. Have a look at our beautiful and scary costumes!
