Some pictures of work we have been doing over the last week. This month we have been talking about what school was like in the past. We wrote diary entries from children coming home from school long ago. We stained the paper with tea and teacher burned them to make them look super old and fragile! As part of science week, OLV Infants were busy with lots of fun experiments! One of the experiments we in room 11 did involved yummy skittles! We investigated what would happen to the skittles when mixed with hot and cold water. The results are very clear, which also highlighted just what artificial colours go into sweets like these! Every day some children are chosen to practice their Irish cómhrá in front of the class. We are getting better all the time and love getting to use our gaeilge! After all, practice make perfect!
