o Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good week.
Just to let you know that there is a lovely maths challenge up on our Home School Liaison page (linked below) if you would like to do this with your kids, it's a fun one to do in your own time. Learning through play/fun will be the idea starting from next week.
https://www.olvinfants.com/home-school-liaison.html
English:
  1. Practice your reader online, sounds, tricky words, word lists etc.
  2. Handwriting revision pages 34 & 35 - I have also added a warm up video to help your child prepare for writing, as I have had some feedback from parents about it being difficult to get them to write.
  3. Writing Workshop
  • Mini Lesson (see below)
  • Independent work
  • Shared Session

Maths:
Empty sets
Make/find things that are empty.
Busy work: Busy At Maths page 28 & 29.
Picture
Gaeilge
Siopadóireacht: Ceacht 4
Cómhrá (conversation)
You could recreate this setting at home and play shop why using the phrases.
Dia duit.
Dia is muire dhuit (hello)
Tabhair dom ______. (Give me a _______).
Seo duit _______. (Here is a ________).
Go raibh maith agat. (Thank you).
Fáitle romhat. (You're welcome).
Seo dhuit an t-airgead. (Here is the money.)
Slán. (Goodbye).
In addition, with all the madness going on in the world, I thought this story, Same Difference, would be nice to show your child if you are having some conversations with them at the moment. Fast forward to 1 minute to start the story. Enjoy!
