Hello everyone and welcome back to another day of digital learning!

Today we will do mental/oral Maths.

  3. Days of the week and months of the year
  4. Oral questions: Parents asks and child answers

  • What is the first day of the week?
  • What day comes after Thursday/Monday/Friday?
  • What day comes before Sunday/Thursday/Saturday?
  • How many days are there in a week? Not sure? Count them with your fingers!
  • What month are we in?
  • What number comes after 3/6/8?
  • What number comes before 4/10/7? (You may wish to do more of these if you feel the need)
Gaeilge:
Éadaí: Ceacht 9
Cé leis an ________? (Who owns the ________?)
Is le Niamh é. (It belongs to Niamh.)
You could play this with your toys belonging to you and your siblings!
  1. Cómhrá 9.2
  2. Tasc Éisteachta 9.2
English/SESE:
  1. Let's sing Old McDonald (see youtube below)
  2. Handwriting - Practice writing your name in cursive. See yesterdays blog post if you missed it.
  3. Oral Language - Spot the difference (download below). It is important to note that this is a language activity, so please do not let pointing to the differences suffice! Encourage your child to use sentences.
  4. 'This is a _________' matching activity. Can you read the short sentences and match them to the pictures with your finger? Reminder that you could make this to practice at home using strips of paper for the sentences and concrete items ie. toys or household items!

Pet lambs - I took these a few weeks ago boys and girls. Sometimes, farmers need to feed and mind lambs themselves. Maybe because the mammy is sick, or tired, or because she has twins and can only look after one properly. This little lamb stayed at our house for a few days until she got stronger and could be independent when she went back to the farm. And yes, that is a baby's bottle! My mother can also confirm that he was not so willing to feed babies twenty-something years ago, especially at night!

As you can see she got quite comfortable and tried making herself at home, straight for the biscuit press!
PE: Today's PE with Joe will be live at 9am on youtube and as always, available after this time for you to access!
